During the first semester of 2004 the Mosque of Granada has continued to consolidate its activities, its legal situation and the full use of its premises. The terrorist attacks of March 11th were a terrible shock for the Spanish society and a very serious one for the Muslims of Spain. Immediately the Mosque representative condemned the crimes and demanded an investigation to find the culprits as well as severe punishment for their hideous crime. Because of the terrorist attacks and because of its increasing reputation world-wide, The Mosque of Granada has been in the spotlight of the world media.

A mayor international Symposium, and a Concert of old Music from Al-Andalus were held at the premises of the Cultural Centre and the Gardens, respectively, as a gesture of openness to the society.
The two web sites, one in English and one in Spanish were launched in January and are serving as a link to activities and events as well as to useful knowledge for thousands of people.

Lastly, the Centre has been refurbished with new offices, a reception, exhibition facilities and the Final Opening License from the Municipality has been obtained.
