I want to become a Muslim

Thousands of people accept Islam every day in the world. Islam represents an individual and a social option for an ever-increasing number of human beings in our time. Islam is a spiritual path of worship and drawing near to the Creator as well as a guidance of wisdom about every aspect of life.

Where to go

Every individual Muslim can be your guide, men and women illuminated by the light of the prayer, the fasting and the community. Truthfulness, generosity and beauty in their actions and integrity in their behaviour are their marks.

In every city and village you can find them. There may be a Mosque near you or in a neighbouring town.

Basic information
Every Muslim can guide you to the basics: only Allah is worthy of worship. Submission and thanks are due to Him alone. He is One and Alone in His divinity and in His Lordship over every thing that exists, the known and the unknown, the visible and the unseen.

It follows that you will discover the clear and pristine guidance of the Creator of mankind to be complete, and the vast and generous parameters of His revelation unadulterated and intact.

You will also come across the beautiful and comprehensive details of the life, sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, and the irrefutable proofs of the prophetic mission.

And at last you will encounter the nobility, generosity and greatness of soul and character of the men and women who formed his community, his companions and followers, who represent the height of justice, integrity and sincerity throughout time.

You will find parameters and guidelines which are universal and valid in every time and place. Confirmed by common sense and by the commonly recognised values of mankind (ma’ruf).

How to become a Muslim
To become a Muslim is a simple and easy action with deep and transcendental consequences. A person accepts Islam by declaring with conviction and sincerity, freely and without any coercion, in front of Muslim witness, that only Allah is worthy of worship and that Muhammad is His Messenger. This is said in the arabic phrase:

Ash-hadu an laa ilaha illa-llaah
wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rassulullah.
