We are currently developing the Library
of the Centre of Islamic Studies
of the Mosque of Granada.

YOU CAN HELP US!

This library was conceived in order that scholars and the general public would have access to texts, books and materials to expand and deepen the understanding of the teaching of Islam in this time. Access to this Library is during normal working hours on normal working week days.

Due to the fact that the Centre receives a large number of visitors from foreign countries, both residing in Granada and here on a short stay, we have made It our aim to provide a wide range of material in as many languages as possible.

The library is open, but we do need more material

We want to take this opportunity to ask you for your support. Perhaps you have collections of books or know someone else who would like to contribute material to the Library.

The kind of material we require include subjects like the history of Andalusia, the epoch of the Moriscos, and classic literature from that period, written by the Muslims of that time. Any contemporary studies made on such literature is also of great interest to us.

The Iberian Peninsular is of course of great interest to us but we also want to provide reference material. Dictionaries, both single language and bilingual, (e.g. Spanish - arabic arabic - Spanish) are always needed.

Books on Islamic Sciences and contemporary studies regarding all aspects of life from economy to ecology are also interesting for many fields of study.

As a modern Library e do not wish to limit our material to books, but hope to stock a wide range of multimedia, from interactive CDs and audio cassettes to videos and recordings.

There is always a way in which you can help, and we will gladly accept donations that will permit us to acquire the material most needed to offer muslims, scholars and the general public a complete set of tools for the greater understanding and implementation of Islam in our time.
